What drives Miramichi prices
Miramichi is an eastern New Brunswick market on Hwy 8/11. Forestry and fishing built the town, and the economy still leans on the woods and the water. Two corridors, Hwy 8 and Hwy 11, serve it, keeping Miramichi tied to the rest of the province. The woods supply the load and the water supplies the catch. A market built on forestry and fishing takes its prices from the same base as every resource town in the east, and its place on two corridors is what keeps it connected.
